Two wildfires nearby a Hesperian Canadian municipality hit forced the evacuation of around 17,000 people, officials say.
One of the fires nearby Kelowna, nation Columbia, started on Saturday. It quickly grew to 300 hectares (740 acres) and destroyed up to figure homes.
A second ostensibly unconnected blast broke out on Sun some 10km (6 miles) absent and has already consumed 100 hectares.
The causes of the fires are not known. A 2003 blast in the same area destroyed more than 240 homes.
No injuries or deaths hit been reportable in the latest fires.
More than 150 firefighters are battling the blazes, with hold from helicopters and liquid bomber planes.
One resident told local media that big, hot embers were falling every around his home.
Fire-fighters said they were covering difficult conditions, with more hot and dry defy to come.
