Ousted President Manuel Zelaya has left Washington on a flight to Honduras to reclaim his post.
Mr Zelaya, who was removed from duty by personnel a hebdomad ago, says he is determined to return to his country.
But the interim government says it will not earmark Mr Zelaya's form to land. There are growing fears of violence in the Central dweller nation.
On Saturday, the capital's archbishop urged Mr Zelaya not to return, warning of a doable "bloodbath".
The Organisation of dweller States has suspended Honduras over the crisis.
