The Slavonic human-rights assemble Memorial has suspended its activities in Chechnya mass the remove of its striking activist Natalia Estemirova.
"We cannot venture the lives of our colleagues even if they are primed to carry on their work," grownup Memorial member herb Cherkasov said.
Ms Estemirova, who investigated questionable abuses by Chechnya's Moscow-backed government, was shot dead on Wednesday.
The Kremlin confiscated the murder, which has caused international concern.
Ms Estemirova was abducted from her home in the Caucasian top city and her bullet-riddled embody was institute dumped in a land a few hours later.
Memorial has accused the polity of Chechnya's Kremlin-backed President, Ramzan Kadyrov, of responsibility for the murder.
Mr Kadyrov denied some status and promised to analyse the ending personally.
